With a brand-new lineup of food trucks, expanded entertainment, and a vibrant atmosphere, it’s shaping up to be the perfect place to create lasting memories with family and friends.
A Family Tradition Reimagined
What started as a humble venture in 2017 has blossomed into a cornerstone of Wells’ summer scene. Originally launched with just three food trucks, Congdon’s After Dark has consistently grown, reflecting the community’s appetite for diverse culinary experiences. This year marks a significant milestone as Jillian Shomphe and her husband Chris officially take the reins, following the legacy of the Leech family who’s owned and operated the business since 1955. Jillian expressed the park’s importance, stating, “It’s more than just great food— it’s a place where families make memories, friends meet up, and visitors get a true taste of Maine.”
A Diverse Culinary Adventure
This season, prepare for a whopping 21 food trucks, offering a staggering array of flavors. From familiar favorites like Hattapon’s Thai Kitchen and Knew Potato Caboose, to exciting newcomers such as Cruzin Slice, Sylivia’s Mobile Bar & Catering, and Lakeside Thai On Wheels, there’s something to satisfy every craving. The park will also feature a dedicated night each week where trucks will offer menu items under $10.
More Than Just Food
But Congdon’s After Dark is more than just incredible food. Expect live music, fundraising events, special activities for children, and weekly car shows. A wide selection of Maine craft beer, wine, and cocktails – including exclusive brews crafted with Congdon’s doughnuts by Batson River Brewing and Mast Landing Brewing Company – will be available.
